Swift Logistics ran a fleet of over 300 vehicles nationwide, but dispatch had no live visibility into where any of them actually were. Routes were planned the night before and largely fixed for the day — if a driver hit traffic, took a wrong turn, or a delivery ran long, dispatch found out the same way the customer did: a phone call asking where the delivery was.

Fuel costs were climbing with no way to tell how much came from genuinely necessary routes versus inefficient ones, and 'on-time delivery' was more of a hope than a measured, managed number.

We built a live-map control tower fed by GPS telemetry from every vehicle, giving dispatch real-time visibility across the entire fleet instead of the previous night's static plan. Routes now optimize automatically against live traffic and delivery windows, and a driver app captures proof-of-delivery on the spot instead of relying on paperwork that made it back to the office days later.

Dispatch can now see a delay forming and re-route around it before a customer ever needs to call and ask. That real-time optimization is what drove the fuel savings — fewer inefficient routes, less idle time, and delivery windows that are actually managed rather than guessed at.
